Keys to Independence

Co-authored with Rachael Desgouttes and Sheila Partrat, this practical guide gives sound advice to teenagers leaving home and studying abroad. It covers money, food and nutrition, entertainment, domestic engineering, time management, safety and emotional well-being,

The chapter on money – the one I wrote- looks at money from different angles: how we approach time and virtual money and how decisions are not always rational, how to build a road map for the university years, for parents and students: planning the cost of studies and related expenses and how to finance them, practical basics on managing allowances, scholarships and/or student’ loans, controlling spending and bills, how to navigate the financial world (banks, insurance, credit). It also covers the social side of money: from sharing bills to dating and going out.
